The Future is Now with EPFX/SCIO

by M. Temple Richmond

Rumor has it right. A paradigm shift is in the making. In contrast to the outlook of once-dominant Newtonian science, there’s now emerging an holistic vision in which the universe is a sentient organism with purpose and pattern, expressing itself as a sea of energies interacting.

This paradigm shift is changing not only science but the entire set of assumptions underlying the definition of health and its lack. The new and more fluid vision of reality holds that all forms, including human beings, are energies condensed into a particular and specialized arrangement. As a consequence, the world of healing finds itself in the midst of birthing the new science of energies, long held by mystical sources to be destined for development in the New or Aquarian Era.

Within this new and emerging point of view, the human being takes its place in a universe filled with energies of varying rates of vibration. Seen this way, each and every condition of the human body, emotions, mind, and spirit correlates to a particular energy frequency. The detection and adjustment of energies thus becomes the central concern of energetic healing, a modality increasingly acknowledged by progressive medical doctors and even by the U.S. government-run National Institutes of Health, which has recently identified energetic healing as one of five modes worthy of serious study in the alternative and complementary fields.

Says Richard Gerber, M.D., author of the popular Vibrational Medicine, "In the energetic view of human health, we are beings whose ills may be healed not only by surgical procedures and drugs but also by different forms and frequencies of energy."

Different forms and frequencies of energies? That sounds like "energy medicine." Energy medicine is, according to holistic pioneer and M.D. Norman Shealy, "the future of all medicine." In this view, the future of healing leads to a world in which invasive procedures and synthetic drugs take a back seat to energy attunements and adjustments for all but emergency care of serious injury. Is this an overly idealistic vision? Not so according to Shealy, who sees vibrational adjustment as the inevitable trend of the future for even the conventional healing arts.

The future, however, is not far off. In fact, it’s happening right now with EPFX, an energy healing modality gaining recognition and popularity throughout the U.S. and the world. EPFX stands for "electro physiological feedback xrroid," the name applied to this modality by American inventor William C. Nelson, Ph.D., an electrical engineer and mathematician who became dissatisfied with the offerings of conventional medicine in the 1980s. Nelson studied with advanced professionals representing the entire spectrum of alternative and native healing arts from around the world. In the process, Nelson realized that ideal vibrational health could be expressed mathematically. Applying his inspiration, in two decades of work he created a highly sophisticated and computerized technology embodying the principles of healing by adjustment of vibrational frequency. Thus was born the EPFX system for vibrational adjustment and attunement.

Technical specifications for the system state that the EPFX has the capacity to both sense and adjust frequencies at the level of subtle energies. To do this, the EPFX gathers bio-energetic data through lead wires attached to the ankles, wrists, and forehead. The EPFX then scans information from 55 channels to analyze electrical potential in terms of voltage, resistance, amperage, frequency, reactance, susceptance, capacitance, inductance, hydration, oxidation, and the pressure of protons and electrons. These many technical parameters are then converted by the EPFX software into mathematical statements of the individual’s condition. It then responds in split second speed with frequencies of a corrective nature. The EPFX specialist assists in the process by monitoring on-screen information supplied by the EPFX software. The entire procedure looks like and works similarly to conventional biofeedback technology, though it is many generations of upgrades beyond that early concept.

The resulting treatment modality is now widely distributed throughout the world and has been embraced by many in the global community of holistic health seekers and alternative healers. In fact, the number of EPFX machines which have been sold and placed into service worldwide is now approximately 27,000. In the U.S., the EPFX has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for use as a biofeedback device since 1989.

EPFX is designed specifically to detect and reduce stress, whatever the source. All causes of stress are addressed by the unique capability of the EPFX frequency adjustment system, which can neutralize the effects of a wide array of common as well as little-known stressors.

The EPFX can even help with cosmetic issues, such as facial appearance. In fact, the electronic equivalent of a face lift can be performed by one of the EPFX attunement routines. An entirely non-invasive procedure which involves clearing the stress energies accumulated in facial muscles, the EPFX/SCIO face lift is an holistic alternative to conventional surgical procedures for the same purposes.

The EPFX face lift has been elected by several clients of Wellness Partners, including Barbara-Lynn Freed, 55, of Hillsborough, NC. Long established in Triangle holistic and metaphysical circles, Freed is the founder and owner of Heartways, a spiritual healing practice based in northern Orange County. During a recent course of EPFX face lift attunements, Freed noticed significant improvement immediately after her first face lift attunement.

Excess puffiness in Freed’s face was diminished immediately and remained so in the intervening months, Freed explained. Over the entire course of her several EPFX face lift attunements, Freed saw the all-important jaw line area in her face tighten up and become more defined, while frown lines in the upper brow and forehead area diminished markedly. Her overall grade for EPFX face lift attunement? She is "very happy" with the results, Freed said.
