WHAT IS THE PRIMARY CAUSE OF CANCER?

Dr. Otto Warburg won the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1931 for his discovery of the oxygen-transferring enzyme of cell respiration. Dr. Otto Warburg believed that the prime cause of cancer had been well defined. He studied cancer and knew what environment caused it and killed it.  He proved that cancer could be killed simply by returning the body to normal, healthy chemistry.

 

“… There are prime and secondary causes of diseases.  Cancer has countless secondary causes.  But there is only one prime cause… There is no disease whose prime cause is better known, so that today ignorance is no longer an excuse that one cannot do more about prevention of cancer.  But how long prevention will be avoided depends on how long the prophets of agnosticism will succeed in inhibiting the application of scientific knowledge in the field of cancer.  In the meantime millions of men and women must die of cancer unnecessarily.”

 

“Summarized in a few words, the prime cause of cancer is the replacement of the respiration of oxygen in normal body cells by a fermentation of glucose.  All normal body cells meet their energy needs by respiration of oxygen, whereas cancer cells meet their energy needs in great part by fermentation.  All normal body cells are “aerobes”, whereas all cancer cells are partial “anaerobes”. The prime cause of cancer is replacement of oxygen respiration by fermentation…”

The work of Dr. Otto Warburg showed that cancer was associated with anaerobic (oxygen deficiency) conditions, resulting in glucose fermentation and a marked drop in the pH of the cell -- a condition called acidosis (more acidic than normal). Acidosis prevents the formation of nucleotides, the building blocks of DNA -- the blueprint for human growth and repair. 

 

Cancer cells have an extreme acid pH and are oxygen depleted, while healthy cells have a slightly alkaline pH with high oxygen content.  Alkaline solutions are made up of hydroxyl (oxygen-hydrogen) radicals and therefore are oxygen-rich. As pH drops, the cells’ oxygen levels also drop.  Therefore, when the body becomes acidic, the body becomes anaerobic.  As the body’s pH moves just a little out of the normal pH range, its ability to function properly and heal itself diminishes drastically.  An acidic state gives cancer the needed environment to grow within the body.

 

Dr. Warburg demonstrated that cancer requires a low oxygen environment.  Whenever Dr. Warburg lowered the oxygen level in a healthy cell, it became cancerous.  Conversely, Dr. Warburg found that increased levels of oxygen inhibited the spread of cancer cells and eventually caused the cancer to die. He found that when he put a cancer cell into an alkaline environment, it died within minutes. In a healthy, slightly alkaline cell environment, the conditions required for developing of cancer do not exist; it is therefore remains dormant, or dies, while the healthy cells thrive. Under oxygen-rich, alkaline conditions, cancer cells die quickly, with no damage to healthy cells, and therefore no side effects.

 

This research was done over 60 years ago. Nevertheless, the medical profession continues to only burn, cut or poison (radiation, surgery, chemotherapy/drugs) the symptoms of cancer.  Billions of dollars are being spent annually on the search for a drug that will destroy the cancer without killing the patient.  According to Dr. Warburg, to kill cancer all you have to do is make your body alkaline by following some common-sense health rules.  The research for an expensive man-made chemical drug is the wrong way to go.  Unfortunately, his work is totally ignored by the medical authorities.

 

Most diseases are caused by the body lowering into an unnatural acidic state.  Diseases can be prevented through nutrition, but doctors and the public have very little knowledge regarding these issues. Most doctors don’t know how to alkalize a person because they only get a few hours of education on nutrition.

 

When chemically understood, cancer may be beaten painlessly. You can naturally and inexpensively raise your body's pH and increase the cell oxygen level toward a normal, healthy level, thereby reversing and preventing the disease. Good health is both simply and inexpensively attainable with this knowledge.

 

What Is Cellular Respiration?

 

The conversion of organic molecules such as glucose and fatty acids into carbon dioxide and water within the cells is called cellular respiration. 

 

All nutritional energy (measured in calories) originates from solar energy that has been captured and stored by green plants.  Plants accomplish this through photosynthesis, using the energy of light to bind carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and water from the earth into molecules of glucose, releasing oxygen in the process.

 

In the reverse process, called cellular respiration, cells break down (“burn” or oxidize) glucose by combining it with oxygen to break the molecule down to carbon dioxide and water and release the energy that was stored in its chemical bonds. 

 

Cellular respiration is a multi-step process of controlled burning (breaking down).  At first, each glucose molecule is converted into two molecules of pyruvic acid in nine separate steps by the anaerobic process (oxygen is not necessary in this process).  Pyruvic acid is further broken down to carbon dioxide and water by the aerobic process (oxygen is necessary in this process) only after 30 additional biochemical reactions.  The final products of aerobic respiration are carbon dioxide and water. Carbon dioxide is a waste product in this process, and is carried by the blood to the lungs for elimination.

 

When oxygen is not available in sufficient amounts, the result is the addition of two hydrogen atoms to pyruvic acid, producing lactic acid (by one chemical reaction). This process is referred to by physiologists as fermentation or anaerobic respiration. (“Anaerobic” describes the fact that oxygen is not used in the process).  A cell can survive without oxygen as long as it can produce sufficient energy for its needs and as long as lactic acid concentrations do not become excessive.

 

Lactic acid under aerobic conditions (in the presence of oxygen) is converted to pyruvic acid, which then broken down to carbon dioxide and water.  Extra oxygen is required to metabolize (break down) lactic acid.

What Conditions Within the Cell Are Necessary to Produce Mutation?

 

In the absence of oxygen the glucose undergoes fermentation into lactic acid, causing the pH of the cell to drop.  The cell membrane can begin to disintegrate as a direct result of low pH cellular fluids (more acidic than normal). The acids in the intra-cellular and extra-cellular fluids can disintegrate the cell wall, allowing toxins and carcinogens to get inside of the cell. This can cause the DNA template (structure) to bend or mutate, and a cancer is born.

 

All carcinogens are highly reactive compounds – free radicals that can enter the body through consumption of food additives such as nitrites, through consumption of processed polyunsaturated fats (found in vegetable oils), or through inhalation and skin absorption of toxic chemicals such as the tar of cigarette smoke.  Women who eat polyunsaturated fats daily increase their breast cancer risk, but the daily indigestion of monounsaturated fat (found in olive oil and avocado) decreases the risk of breast cancer.

 

Dr. Warburg discovered that mutation cannot occur with the pH of the cell in the healthy (6.8 to 7.6) range.  He was also able to show that at pH slightly above the pH of 7.4, the cancer cells enter a dormant state, therefore the success of the “caustic solution treatment” of tumors by the turn-of-the-century doctors could now be explained.  They treated their cancer patients with the salts of rubidium and cesium (these salts have extremely alkaline ions). Therefore, under these oxygen-rich, alkaline conditions, cancer cells die quickly, with no damage to the healthy cells, and therefore no serious side effects.  Unfortunately, persecution from the medical establishment had driven caustic cancer therapy research, started by Noble Prize winner Dr. Otto Warburg, underground.
